- Design, develop, test, document and maintain object-oriented web-based applicationsusing primarily the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) architecture.- Ensure all development activities meet or exceed established standards/style guidelinesmake sure all code is modular, reusable and maintainable. o Code Reviews o Create new standards and style guidelines as necessary- Work with internal or external end-users to develop accurate business requirements andtest plans for all web-based applications.- Stay current with the latest updates and trends for core systems and technologies (OODesign, PHP, Zend Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL, MongoDB, InfiniDB,Linux, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Apache, BIRT, Kettle, SendGrid, HTML, CSS,Google Analytics, etc.) to help formulate strategies and plans for future enhancements ofweb-based applications.- Manage, repair and document all bug activity within bug tracking solution to help endusers complete testing on all web-based applications.- Work with internal constituencies to develop and maintain realistic project plans(objectives/tasks, scope and resources) for all development projects.- May contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining technical help manuals for allweb applications.- Help develop and implement plans to obtain and maintain a high level of functionality,usability and design structure for all web-based applications.- Help develop and maintain integrated plans for the organisation major systems, basedon management goals and priorities; participate in the establishment of the relatedpolicies, directions and standards.- Work in collaboration with internal and external constituencies at all levels of theorganisation in delivering development objectives.- May guide and coordinate the activities of junior level developers and/or technical staffwhen necessary.

- With minimal direction, develops advanced custom programs written in Web-based languages.- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code using various programming and scripting languages such as PHP, HTML, Javascript and other action script languages for a component of the Website.- Provides technical direction to graphic designers and other members of a project team to develop the site concept, interface design and architecture of the Website.- Works closely with Business Analyst, Web Graphics designers, to ensure Website is developed according to specifications.- Works with cross-functional team to gather design and market requirements for web site development needs.Technical environment:- Used: PHP, Apache web server, MsSQL DBMS, NetBeans IDE, JavaScript, Smarty, AJAX and Ubuntu Linux.
