This cross departmental project, was started in conjunction with the quality department and coordinated by me. The goal was to:- Ensure that supplier were not contacted several times by different departments, - That credit notes/invoices for quality or delivery issues were handled correctly - Increase understand and communication between departmentsThe result was less open quality payment cases, improved cash flow and best practices to follow when contacting suppliers. I primarily work with ensuring correct and on-time payment to suppliers after goods received, when there is a discrepancy or error. This means working closely with both the quality and accounting departments and suppliers. I find the root-causes of the misalignments and then acquire the needed information and align the solutions with the correct people. I also have some inventory management projects - in these projects I do the root-cause analysis e.g. Determining why inventory levels from specific suppliers have risen or fallen, determining reasons for poor supplier performance and providing colleagues and management with a suggestion of how to fix or better understand the issue.
