In this role I have had the opportunity to lead both the Fixed Asset and Labor teams for the Defense and Space controllership. I lead a team of 5 personnel based out of Puerto Rico which is responsible for 5 US based Honeywell Defense sites. In the fixed asset role I am responsible for overseeing the approval and use of capital budgets. This includes monthly spend analysis, fixed asset capitalization and retirement, and asset sales and transfers. As the labor lead I am responsible for monitoring all labor charged by D&S employees and completing a monthly audit and analysis of that labor. This role has also given me the opportunity to work as an SAP financial systems analyst. That entails working with all Defense sites to troubleshoot system issues that they are encountering as well as providing process analysis and improvement recommendations.

In this role I worked as an accountant for the Defense and Space controllership focusing primarily on the month end, quarter end, and year end financial close processes. I was responsible for program analysis as well as conducting balance sheet analysis for 5 US based Honeywell Defense sites. The role gave me the added opportunity of working with SAP on a daily basis so I have a gained a great deal of knowledge about the operating system and its functionality.
