As a Client Principal, Eric is responsible for clients from qualification through their entire journey as a partner. He shapes engagements, negotiates deals and supports teams through delivery success. Eric turns a customer request or requirement into a product vision and builds a team to execute on that vision. His responsibility moves from shaping engagements to managing the client relationship and the ongoing successful delivery. He is held accountable for revenue and for the overall success of engagements. In 2020 Eric exceeded his target by 25%.

Eric served ThoughtWorks, a global professional services technology consultancy, as a Principal Consultant. He was responsible for driving the success of the people, the technology and the commercials of client engagements.

Working for the leading Online Marketplace for Bespoke and Vintage Goods, Eric led teams totalling 50 people spread across Product Engineering, Systems Engineering and Change Management that shipped compliance solutions for GDPR, new payment tiers for the client’s sellers, new infrastructure for search and machine learning teams and a migration to Google Cloud. He was also responsible for a change management program focusing on continuous improvement on teams. Teams were located in New York, San Francisco, Recife (Brazil), London, and Chicago.

For a large Swiss Bank, Eric led teams which changed the way software was conceived, built and iterated within Compliance. Eric's teams delivered an iPhone app for Regulatory Affairs executives, a web application to track material non-public information and in three months, from start to finish, a replacement expense reporting system for the anti-bribery and corruption team.

At one of the largest Newspapers in the United States, Eric led the successful rollout of Continuous Delivery technology and processes across a dozen teams for about 150 developers. From single button deploys of the homepage to weeks reduction in effort in ecommerce teams, this was a huge improvement for the Paper.

For an EdTech Startup, Eric worked with teams that created a combination of hardware and software for students and teachers to use inside and outside of classrooms. This included custom Android tablets and OS, a custom mobile device management system and tools for teachers to create lesson plans.

At a major Financial and Information News Service, we launched a service that connected the dots of United States Government spend. Users could see all (non-classified) government spend and which companies it went to. Which bills appropriated that money, which congresspersons sponsored those bills and finally which companies donated money to those congresspersons.

Hands on developer and manager of the UNICEF Website within the Division of Communications, Internet, Broadcast and Image section. Working with a team of programmers and designers that ran UNICEF’s web properties in all of the UN languages (French, Spanish, English, Arabic and Chinese).

Directed and oversaw all aspects of development for FSBO.-Increased reliability and scale of ForSaleByOwner.com by migrating to multiple web servers and a separate database server for a site that got over 20 million page views per month.-Set coding standards and practices for the ForSaleByOwner.com development team.-Front-end and back-end coding using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and perl. SQL Database programming using MySQL.
