In the 2024 STEM Summer Camp, I played a key role in guiding students through the complex process of designing and building a small rover from scratch:- Rover Design and Development: Led the project where students built a functional rover, involving everything from 3D design to Python programming and electrical engineering.- Advanced Python Concepts: Developed Python programs that utilized UDP for communication between laptops and ESP32 boards, demonstrating real-time control and data transfer.- 3D Design with Onshape: Taught students how to use Onshape for 3D modeling, including designing rings, standoffs, spacers, and the rover’s base.- Electrical Engineering: Provided hands-on instruction in wiring, crimping, and connecting electrical components, including integrating a voltage converter to power the rover.- Network Protocols: Introduced students to UDP and network protocols, covering sockets, packaging, and device communication.This experience deepened my technical expertise in robotics and network communication while enhancing my ability to manage and instruct complex, multidisciplinary projects.
