The Houston Undergraduate Law Review aims to publish both long-form and short multidisciplinary pieces written by undergraduate students in print and online journals. The club will hold monthly round table legal debates and writing workshops to provide students and the public with opportunities to discuss law-related ideas and the publication of undergraduate legal scholarship.

- Coordinated 350+ hours worth of volunteer events supporting children in the Houston Area - Built relationships with 15+ Third Ward and Houston community partners to implement 4-5 volunteer events per month- Piloted recurring MD Anderson Playroom Volunteer program to support vulnerable children undergoing treatment

- Attended weekly classes on advanced asylum topics, client counseling, case planning, case theory and declarations- Conducted 4 client-centered interviews for individuals seeking asylum in the United States- Drafted case plan detailing legal elements, key facts, and evidence outlines and researched asylum alternatives like Special Juvenile Visas

- Participate in monthly scrimmages, invitationals and weekly meetings to streamline performance- Contact 1000+ legal professionals and law students to recruit judges for the annual H-Town Throwdown- Lead team meetings to address case theory, workshop crosses and directs, and provide constructive criticism

- Received a $10,000 grant to implement volunteer engagement plan at the Houston Food Bank (HFB)- Coordinated three-person team to research existing HFB programs to pinpoint existing flaws and inefficiencies- Identified Houston-area schools, non-profits, civic organizations to partner with and increase volunteer base

- Coordinated monthly Transfer on Death Deed workshops and guided Houstonians through application process- Conducted outreach with 50+ Super Neighborhood residents to inform them about Legacy Building initiatives- Compiled Excel spreadsheet with data on Transfer on Death Deed pre-assessments

- Taught highly-motivated, underprivileged students in a writing classroom and improved overall student performance by 14% on post-test- Created 22 lesson plans and homework which aligned with curriculum learning objectives and accommodated student needs- Crafted 14 progress report cards and conducted parent-teacher conferences to convey academic progress

- Participated in onboarding sessions on DEI, culturally-responsiveness teaching, and student engagement- Cultivate sense of belonging and accelerate success for underprivileged students in Oklahoma City- Adapt one-on-one virtual lessons to student needs, address questions, clarify concepts and promote connection
