CSULB BUILD program is an intensive research-training program for undergraduate students interested in pursuing a research career in biomedical research. This program is funded by National Institute of Health (NIH). The goal of this program is to provide exceptional research and skills training to the next generation of biomedical scientists in order to advance scientific knowledge and technology leading to the improvement of improvement of every individual's health in US as well as throughout the globe.As a BUILD GA, my responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist program directors with student training activities.Assemble materials for training activities.Facilitate execution of learning community and other training activities. Lead breakout sessions with BUILD students.Provide clerical support.Answer questions from students, provide peer mentoring and feedback to students. Provide assistance to BUILD training faculty, BUILD staff including program manager, Student Training and Research Enrichment Core Coordinator, grant manager and evaluator. Bi-weekly meetings with Student Training Core Director and LC session leaders.Hold office hours.
