I oversee Amina's 'Employability & Financial Inclusion' project, which consists of national financial advocacy casework services, Glasgow based employability and volunteering programmes, and a national digital inclusion programme. I manage 5 members of part-time staff delivering work across 3 funding streams and over 1,000 hours of direct community engagement per year. I am responsible for project design and management, KPI and budget monitoring, reporting to funders and community stakeholders, and for acquiring new funding for the project.

I worked in a job-share to deliver frontline help services to Muslim and BME women in Scotland experiencing acute distress caused by domestic abuse, financial crisis, or declining mental health. This role demanded excellent listening and advice skills, faith and cultural based sensitivity, partnership work with other referral services (such as Adult Social Care or Housing teams), and report writing. While in post, I also co-delivered Amina's first Eid Toy Drive, during which our team of 2 distributed toys to over 300 children in the Scottish Central Belt.

I was responsible for developing and enacting Volunteer Glasgow's new Fundraising Strategy from scratch in 2019 with the aim of diversifying income and supporting the growth of a community of individual donors and fundraising volunteers. I successfully delivered three major fundraising events in my first year, including a charitable auction, an annual donor thanks event, and the 'Games for Good' fundraiser in partnership with R-Cade. I have also been instrumental in the development and delivery of Volunteer Glasgow's corporate offer: a range of services to implement and enhance corporate social responsibility and employer-supported volunteering.

I worked in a job-share role to support a broad network of volunteers across two diverse organisations in Possilpark, Glasgow. I designed and developed a new volunteer handbook, oversaw organisational GDPR analysis, organised seasonal events, and supported volunteers with a range of complex needs to get the most out of their time with us. Over the course of this role, I completed my certification as a Volunteer Manager through Volunteer Scotland and ILM.

I provided strategic and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and Directors Team. As part my role, I facilitated meetings of the charity's Board of Trustees, wrote briefing papers for MP and local councillor meetings, ran data analysis on charity performance and liaised with other central staff members at the Trust's headquarters in York. I took on extra responsibilities in my role, acting as the head of three separate task & finish groups for the organisation, focused on diversity, recruitment and ethics.

I joined Leeds City Council via the authority's respected graduate programme, and was assigned a post in the Inner South Housing Management team. My previous experience in sustainability and community project work allowed me to develop my role uniquely within the team, becoming an environmental projects worker for the area. I developed and supported projects focused on the improvement of housing estates' environmental health and wellbeing. I created a community tool bank, supported bids for an orchard and for a multiple use games area, cultivated community growing, wrote research reports on food access and inequalities and reviewed areas' waste management practice.I also dedicated a significant length of time to the support of the LGB&T* Staff Network at the council, where I worked as the lead for Trans Campaigns. In this role, I supported the Human Resources team to develop guidance policy, deliver the IDAHOBiT campaign, facilitate a Trans Hub Group for the city and provide training for officers and ward members.

In this role, it was my responsibility to collate and present all information related to sustainable practice at Leeds University Union, as part of NUS' Green Impact accreditation scheme. This auditing role has involved internal investigation of existing policy at LUU, as well as setting up new projects to meet different marking criteria. Under my supervision, the organisation has achieved its 8th Gold standard accreditation.

My responsibilities as the Green Exchange Project Officer included engaging and mentoring students, managing the project's social media output and running events and administration to promote our work. I worked in coordination with LUU, the University and our partners in other Leeds-based institutions.

As a senior section editor, I planned section content, assign pieces to writers, monitor individual writer development and edit articles for release. During my time as editor, I improved the overall quality of the section and introduced one of the magazine's most popular features: the 'Rant of the Week' article published each Wednesday.

The role of Student Host involved working within the Educational Engagement team at the university, reaching out to children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to encourage them to apply to university. My role was to make them aware of their options when joining, and support them in their applications. I helped to organise and run several different higher education experience days, campus tours and EPQ sessions.

This position ran as part of the 'Leave Leeds Tidy' project organised by LUU; it involved speaking to students on a one-to-one basis about waste and recycling, and running days for students to donate items during the busy housing changeover period.

The Environmental Champion role was a very hands-on one: it involved speaking to students about waste and recycling, running clean-up sessions of student areas and running engagement events in Union spaces.
