During the last 5 years I was involved in a few projects as a Purchasing Manager in a hi-tech company with vendors locally and East Asia, and managing deliveries to/from East Asia and South America; as a Consultant building second shift, planning, changing layouts and processes in a manufacturing plant; as a Consultant managing a manufacturing plant and overseeing plant expansion; purchasing, installation and integration of new machines and new software, changes in process and process control, and personnel training.

Brantford

From June 2011 until December 2012 managed the operations of two adjoined facilities in Ajax with 90 employees, include hiring, manufacturing, maintenance, budgets, negotiation and hiring subcontractors. Operations include one plant manufacturing vinyl pools and safety covers; the second plant manufacture fiberglass steps, spas and other accessories. Beginning January 2013 managed operations of Steel and Coping plant (same company) in Brantford, Ontario. Operations include stamping, welding and assembly of structural components for the pool industry.

Managed a team of supervisors and lead-hands responsible for a 100 employee department over three shifts. The operation was responsible for the personalization of up to 5M payment and membership cards per month. Successfully led strategic and tactical initiatives involving production efficiencies and global programs.

Planned, coordinated, and directed quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous manufacture of products consistent with established standards. Formulated and maintained quality control objectives and coordinated them with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
