Swastika Khanal (SK, Eskay). The original name “Swastika” stands for well being and good luck in Sanskrit and Nepali. Eskay is a business strategy and finance professional holding memberships with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal as well as India, and is a CFA charterholder. Her career spans diverse roles in strategy and finance, including Director positions at a renewable energy company and the securities regulator of Nepal where she worked directly with the Chairman and Executive Directors. Before joining Yale, Eskay was part of the investment team at an impact-focused private equity firm, where she played a key role in some of the largest technology, healthcare, and manufacturing deals in Nepal. At the securities regulator, she contributed to policy-level initiatives, collaborating with senior government authorities to regulate and supervise securities businesspersons.Beyond her professional work, Eskay serves on the board of a non-profit organization that provides vocational training to youth in underserved communities. She also founded an entrepreneurship mentoring platform that supports budding entrepreneurs with networking, financing, and mentorship opportunities. An alumna of the US Embassy Youth Council, Eskay helped conceptualize and organize projects aimed at enhancing financial literacy for women from marginalized communities in Nepal.
