Esmeralda Naranjo, Alumna of the University of California, San Diego, Class of 2020, currently works in the Inland Empire as a family law paralegal. Prior to working as a full-time paralegal, she was a Legal Fellow at the Superior Court, County of San Diego Family Law Facilitator's Office. She assisted self-represented litigants with family-law matters and mentored the office's student interns.She earned her ABA-Approved Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, San Diego's Accelerated Paralegal Program in September 2020 where she graduated with honors.In conjunction with her undergraduate academic studies as a Cognitive Neuroscience major, she has over four years of experience working in the realm of Family Law as she served as an intern at the Family Law Facilitator's Office for the Superior Court County of San Diego, at both the Central and South County divisions since 2017. Also, she served as an intern at the Office of the Primary Public Defender during her senior year, working with matters relating to Criminal Law investigations and discovery. Her passion for education, bilingualism, and legal service allowed her to study abroad in Mexico City, Mexico, where she served as an intern at the Mexican Senate in 2019. Her varied experiences have contributed to her desire to pursue a career in law.
