"Who are you?"I am Espen, a third-year student at UNLV, double majoring in Real Estate and Finance. As a transfer student from UNR, I have learned how to adapt to change, and I moved back to Las Vegas to take advantage of the plethora of opportunities in real estate, particularly at Lee Business School. Commercial real estate is the perfect blend of helping businesses and being in the exciting yet ever-changing world of real estate, so why not get a degree in the field I'm most excited about?I currently work as the Team Strategist for the Retail Team at SVN | The Equity Group, where I have gained firsthand experience in the commercial real estate industry, particularly in the retail asset class. I also serve as the Vice President of Professional Development at UNLV AMA (American Marketing Association), a Top 5 chapter internationally, while founding their new Mentorship Program, which I currently oversee as the Managing Director. In addition, I am an Associate at UNLV RVF (Rebel Venture Fund), a student-run venture fund that helps startups obtain pre-seed funding in order to scale.In terms of my future, I am pursuing a career in commercial real estate brokerage, and would also like to go into property development, real estate investing, and property management. Being a native Nevadan, I am also extremely interested in the casino industry via c-suite executive management, operations, and ultimately resort development. My interests are mostly contained within these two sectors, but I keep an open mind to whatever opportunities are presented to me - I do have an interest in the finance, tourism, hotels/lodging, aviation, and sports industries as well.Ultimately, I have a strong passion for business due to my high ambitions and keen sense of leadership, and I aspire to be a celebrated leader and entrepreneur while maximizing the potential of others. To reach my lofty career aspirations, I maintain a strong work ethic and work on self-improvement daily. Most of all, I am a driven self-starter, ready to launch a successful career and life that will leave a positive impact on the world.In my spare time, I frequently play tennis with friends, keep up with various sports, go on hikes, and provide tours of the Las Vegas Strip.
