Integrating MHPSS in processes, policies, and long term strategies of the Vlamish Red Cross. Coordinating MHPSS Vlamish working groups. Responsable and point of contact for DSI volunteers. Developing evidence based MHPSS trainings within DSI. Strategic coordination of Red Cross MHPSS response in Flanders.

As Emergency Aid Coordinator, I am responsible for, and work closely with, all Red Cross volunteers working within the field of emergency aid and living within the province of Limburg. These volunteers include 1) the emergency aid volunteers who assist the ambulance staff when a calamity occurs with 30 or more victims and 2) the civilian emergency support volunteers who support the local municipalities with the evacuation, shelter and provision of basic needs of those affected by the calamity. My main duties consist of the training, management, and coordination of these volunteers in the cold and warm phases of Red Cross emergency aid.
