• Frontend/Backend Developer and Scrum Master for the Autodesk ReCap desktop application which allows users to create and visualize intelligent 3D data from photos and LiDAR scans. • Worked with desktop team and across other scrum teams to integrate and develop the latest features and improvements to the ReCap Product Line.• Implemented seamless transition between 3D point cloud and panoramic views.• Developed visual workflow to align user coordinate system with LiDAR scans in map view.• Created testable UI workflow to import projects from the ReCap Mobile application. Integrated with UI controller to transfer projects from the mobile application.• Integrated 3D point cloud viewing component to support unstructured point cloud registration workflow.• Implemented an algorithm to improve point picking for unstructured registration.• Integrated web API calls with project sharing workflow.• Improved app responsiveness during startup.• Ported point decimation and range clipping features to command-line ReCap.

• Assumed Technical Leadership role of Engineer Squad Robot project midway through and worked closely with the project manager, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration. Lead the integration effort between QinetiQ and the other companies involved who provided the manipulator, radios, and the controller software. Wrote software to interface between robot and generated JAUS ToolSet (JTS) messaging code.• Owned the Interoperability part of the code on the latest generation Talon robot project which included creating xml files to generate messaging code using JTS and implementing the classes and APIs used to communicate between the generated JTS code and robot.

• Modified the microcontroller code on the Talon IV robot to report encoder ticks with a time difference and allowed for independent track control which resulted in better position calculations and finer maneuverability to support autonomous features. These changes made their way on all future Talon IV autonomy projects. • Implemented various improvements to the Talon IV’s mobility controller which included removing the capping of the maximum velocity, parameterizing the Feed Forward and PID gain values, modifying the rotational gains, and updating the update rate of communication between the robot and mobility components resulting in smoother autonomous mobility. Prior to testing on a robot, created scripts to modify the various parameters, run a series of tests on a robot simulator, and plot the path of the robot to verify behavior and determine optimal parameter values.• Wrote software and wired a hardware solution to control the features and receive feedback from an industrial pressure washer used on a large 6-DoF hydraulic manipulator. • Ported autonomy software onto OMAP 3 processors and wrote software to control and get feedback from a nodding Hokuyo UTM-30LX range finder to enable features such as Obstacle Detection and Avoidance, Leader Follower, and 3D Mapping.• Ported Leader Follower functionality and Sliding Map from legacy projects into the company’s current autonomy libraries allowing for easy integration and maintainability on future projects using various robotic platforms.
