I launched Espiritu Consulting in October 2017 rooted in my satiable quality to connect things. This process has been a lifelong pursuit of insight to bring people closer to something: to each other, to a place, a history, to the future, and to purpose. Raised academically in Industrial Design, I gained the means to solve problems with a product design lens. During my years in public education, I began grasping the principle of bringing people into the center of inquiry. Ultimately, my drive to use creativity as a tool for re-imagining how organizations and people can enhance their social impact has fortified my design acumen of human-centered interaction. This experience has ignited 2 decades - committing myself to the work as a strategist / organizational designer / creative consultant. I bring years of management experience in nonprofits, school districts, museums, foundations and government institutions. My consulting practice lives at the intersection of arts and culture organizations, racial equity, strategy and thought-partnership. Clifton Strengths Assessment Results: 1. Individualization2. Strategic3. Belief4. Communication5. Achiever

Pilates InstructorThe Pilates School Sf Feb 2022 - Jun 2024San Francisco, California, United StatesI was asked to try Pilates after early signs of plantar fasciitis from years of being on my feet as an Arts Educator. In 2014, when I experienced my first Pilates duet with my wife at Pilates Heights in Bernal, I knew immediately that something different was possible when combining breath, technique, rehabilitation and body awareness. Growing up as an avid athlete, Pilates tapped into my appreciation for precision, progression and physical empowerment. For 6 years, I explored many kinds of Pilates studios in San Francisco and didn't think that it would be possible to find a home studio that made space for me to be fully seen in a queer non-binary body.Living and working in the more sedentary nature of the pandemic brought back symptoms of plantar fasciitis - this was my wake up call to return to Pilates with more consistency and self advocacy. More importantly, I was ready to commit to aligning my practice with Pilates teachers who shared and reflected my values of diversity, access and body inclusion. Every person who wants to try Classical Pilates should have the access to do so. Everybody should have the opportunity to work with an instructor who is invested in your goals, growth and personal journey with fitness. How can I help you build a relationship with Pilates that names and breaks the barriers that get in the way of your physical wellness?I'm a part of the inaugural BIPOC cohort of Pilates Interns. I hope to support this studio's efforts to train more BIPOC practitioners to become Pilates instructors because we are all capable of tapping into our core strength - inside and out. I'm proud to call The Pilates Studio SF my home studio and fitness community since August 2021. Show less -
