Combining knowledge of planning and development with experience performing campaign field work and signature gathering I have been able to provide neighborhood outreach services for firms hoping to gain support from the public for proposed design reviews or zoning changes.• We have completed multiple successful petition drives, on two occasions collecting over 500 signatures in support of the proposed development. We have also been able to conduct public surveys for clients, collecting opinions from neighbors regarding future development on the subject property.• Our work is accurate and reliable. The surveys are conducted by professionals operating under close oversight with results verified against public records. Our clients have been very pleased with the results and occasionally request that I attend the relevant public hearings in support.

We were honored to be part of Carolyn Goodman’s campaign team handling the responsibilities of campaign office management, volunteer training and coordination, and serving as the campaign’s liaison for the many Unions in Clark County.• It was understood that in a low turnout primary with multiple challengers every vote would count. It was critical to engage the various public employee, private sector and building trades Unions in Las Vegas. We advised the Mayor and helped her earn the endorsements of every labor organization, and then worked with Union leaders to mobilize hundreds of Union volunteers and thousands of voters.• The mayor is very popular and there was a steady stream of volunteers ready to knock on doors and make phone calls. The Initiative to Regulate and Tax Marijuana and The Background Check Initiative are two separate statewide ballot initiatives that required 101,667 valid signatures in order to be considered by the 2015 Nevada Legislature and to be placed on the 2016 ballot. That candidate was removed from the ballot and we were able to advance to the General Election without having to expend resources.While the campaign fell victim to the "Blue Boycott" of 2014 we succeeded in gaining the candidate name recognition for his first statewide race.

I temporarily relocated to New York City to manage the primary campaign of neighborhood activist Todd Dobrin in the highly competitive 47th city council district.• Tailored the campaign message to highlight the candidate’s strengths.• Trained the candidate on message delivery, preparing him for public forums, debates and endorsement interviews.• Using an all volunteer team we collected double the signatures required to qualify the candidate for the ballot. We also used opposition research and election law to remove an opposing candidate who did not qualify.• Managed the message delivery through a multilingual mail, field and social media program.• Worked with the candidate on fundraising, and navigated New York City’s complex public financing program.• Recruited, trained and managed a multilingual campaign team of 20 political organizers, and ran an effective voter identification and mobilization program.The candidate was able to overcome language barriers, zero name recognition and a fundraising disadvantage to gain the support of almost 2,000 voters in a very low turnout election, earning second in a three way race.

• Tasked with collecting over 72,000 valid signatures of registered voters statewide in support of the Nevada State Education Association’s Education Initiative, an initiative designed to fund education in the state of Nevada.• Coordinated the field work of hundreds of workers and volunteers in 9 cities and 10 counties throughout Nevada.• Trained hundreds of employees and independent contractors in the methods of collecting valid signatures using door to door and public forum methods.• Developed and oversaw the process of signature verification, duplicate signature removal and identification of counterfeit signatures.The Education Initiative was incredibly successful, collecting over 152,703 signatures. Proud to have served as the convention manager, responsible for the planning, marketing, fundraising, and execution of the Clark County Democratic convention.• Assigned specific responsibilities to committees and lead volunteers, assisted them in planning and preparation, and coordinated their efforts to assure continuity throughout the convention.• Raised money for the CCDP through the sale of convention advertising, tables and booths to candidates, vendors and labor organizations. • Received recognition from the CCDP for a well-run convention, successful in raising money, accomplishing the business of the party and bringing members together in advance of the election.

• Built Local 525’s political program from the ground up, directing its campaign activities every election cycle since 2002. This includes planning and implementing a program of member outreach, education and mobilization.• Lead a coalition of Unions and contractors and changed Nevada law to remove unfair bidding standards designed to discriminate against Union employers on Public Works projects.• Developed the social media internal organizing campaign, using various modern communication tools to raise member awareness of political and social issues as they relate to working families.• Designed and supervised the organization’s campaign to enact Community Workforce Agreements on targeted projects and in local jurisdictions. Utilizing relationships built with elected officials and within the community the campaign was successful, and as a result hundreds of represented workers are currently employed on multiple projects.• Publicity campaign geared towards member and contractor recruitment, using various low cost but high visibility targeted advertising methods such as sporting events, as well as trade and social publications.• Directing a public relations campaign using earned media to spotlight the charitable activities and contributions of the membership.• Implemented an outreach program to share market research and analysis with signatory contractors, giving them advance notice of future projects and upcoming bid opportunities.• Developed and oversaw the Union’s contract compliance program on the local and federal level, responsible for monitoring contractors and assuring workers are paid the wages mandated by law. Through public records research, unrepresented employee interviews, and local government participation, the program exposed multiple contractors who are no longer licensed due to unscrupulous bidding, employment and payroll practices.
