I am a passionate biologist with a recently completed Ph.D. from Istanbul Technical University’s Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences. My academic journey began with a degree in Biology and an M.Sc. in Botany from Gazi University, which laid a strong foundation in botany. My Ph.D. studies further expanded my expertise into palynology, vegetation reconstruction, paleovegetation changes, data science, and GIS.Throughout my career, I have been involved in diverse projects with institutions and NGOs such as the Nature Society, Nature Trust Malta, Nature Research Society, Nature Conservation Centre, and TEMA Foundation. I have actively contributed to biodiversity research and conservation projects, including managing fieldwork for wetlands, lagoons, and species action plans.As a research specialist, I contributed to the Vizyon 2050 Strategic Plan, focusing on biodiversity, energy, and climate. I led research, data collection, and analysis efforts, shaping strategies and action plans to address Istanbul's sustainability goals.Internationally, I gained research experience as a guest researcher at the Botanical Institute of Innsbruck University in Austria, focusing on studies in the Alps.
