I am currently the Head of Legal and Data Privacy Officer for HelloFresh Canada, where I provide guidance on commercial agreements, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in sectors such as marketing, food safety, and anti-money laundering. I help build and develop our in-house legal department by establishing processes and frameworks to support the company’s growth and strategic goals. This includes creating standardized templates for contracts, implementing compliance programs, and managing the full contract lifecycle In practice, that means helping HelloFresh manage risk and meet compliance standards, both locally and internationally, while supporting our strategic growth. Whether I’m developing policies, managing contracts, handling commercial disputes, or managing litigation, I work to ensure HelloFresh can operate smoothly and compliant with legal requirements while also ensuring that our leadership and teams can execute their plans with confidence. Previously, I was an emerging companies and venture capital lawyer at working with startups and growth stage companies. I represent corporations, both start-ups and medium sized companies, on a variety of corporate and commercial matters. Specifically, I work with blockchain/web3 companies, fintech companies, med-tech companies, and crypto exchanges. What does all that mean? I helped our clients build their businesses. This can be through raising capital, producing the correct contracts or structures, advising on high level employment matters, or purchasing new businesses that will either expand or open a new market for their current businesses. And if they want to sell their business, we can help them do that as well. It's a special privilege to be able to help build a business and watch that business mature or be acquired.I have also been fortunate to work in the sports and entertainment industry. I have successfully represented Olympic athletes, professional athletes, and National Sporting Organizations before courts and tribunals as well as in mediations and negotiations. I have represented Grammy award winning artists and music producers in contract negotiations regarding intellectual property matters and have helped develop radio shows, television shows, and podcasts.
