Omar Elsafty is a social entrepreneur and a strong advocate for community-driven initiatives. He joined Fab Lab Egypt in 2011 and has held various roles, including Community Manager and General Manager. Omar co-directed the first-ever Fab Conference in the MENA region and led yearly versions of Maker Faire Cairo since 2015. He is now a co-founder and the Managing Director for San3a Tech, the parent company for all their initiatives and products, including Fab Lab Egypt. In his current role at San3a Tech, Omar drives strategic partnerships, community building and business development while leading the team to build a network of 6 Fab Labs across, support 35 makerspaces and Innovation Centers in 5 countries, and impact +25K innovation enthusiasts every year through the different products and programs.Omar's unwavering commitment to the makers community has helped him become a recognized figure in Egypt's innovation ecosystem and globally by being part of several global networks and initiatives.
