A city-sketching modules includes lectures, discussions, and sketch outing is to take place in different heritage sites and venues with descriptive /comparative sense. The main scope is to use drawing as a motive force to see through urban scenes1 1), train the eye to appreciate the built environment and social interplay 2), raise the awareness of the complex geometrical present 3), and develop a particular theme to unfold the story of man, place, and space 4).

OBSERVATIONAL DRAWING OF HERITAGE BUILDINGS & FEATURES.Through the frame of Fine Arts Special Unit, Essam pursues to achieve enthusiastic professional teaching profile, aiming to design and deliver advanced instructing of urban sketching for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of Fine Arts. OBSERVATIONAL DRAWING OF HERITAGE BUILDINGS & FEATURES is a workshop which is conducted in one of the most remarkable heritage sites of Alexandria “Villa 108 Abdelsalam Aref St. Gleem District, recently the fine arts faculty’s main campus”. Each Module runs in duration of 3 days where students of social science & humanities can apply to participate in. The workshop heightens city sketching mechanisms & sensitivities, creating dynamic activities for informal learning & on-site contact, offering both theoretical & practical instructions & accesses to bring skills methodology of Urban Sketching of the city built environment.

VISUAL STUDIES, THE DRAWING CLASS, THE MODELING CLASS.Since joining Fine Arts faculty, Essam was engaged in curriculum development operations of the various art & design studio-courses to formative and advanced levels, assisting, and supervising establishment(s) & re-framing(s) of theoretical and practical modules of the educational program of Architecture and Sculpture departments. Through the teaching courses / classes of; visual studies, observational drawing, modeling, and basic design curriculum(s), Essam's seeking advance to formulate notable production-like environment in which my students could heighten their expression mechanisms, grow, and fulfill various learning experiences of creativity and innovation.

In the scope of Architectural Design, Visual Arts, and Urban studies Essam delivered lectures, round talks, and tutorials, participated in local / international colloquiums, workshops, and panel discussions for advanced experiencing, developing and implementing new methods of teaching to reflect changes in topics and issues which his students are asked to address, in addition to supervising their research and studio activities, preparing & developing materials, and assessing their coursework.

With over ten years of experience in architectural design, six years as senior architect in consultant offices, Essam has exceptional skills and experience in planning, detailing, designing, and coordinating both residential and public projects. Essam's excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, combined with advanced knowledge of geometric constructions, sciography, urban heritage, aesthetic / rules of beauty, freehand mechanisms, and the cultural identities that produced classical orders of the grand western and oriental styles, consolidate his AD individual / team leadership profile.The project samples presented in this profile encapsulate the first decade of my projects, and give shortcuts to the overall image of my conception approaches, envisions, and styles which aim to produce a design that is livable, functional, and visionary.

They sometimes approach and expose darkness, secrecy, and overall revolutionary mood, yet still express hope, survival, and joyful realities. The core of thematic-experiencing are formulated by years of observing & collecting antiquarian features, exploring facets of our existence, and special inherit of loving history and beauty from his childhood. MARKER'S TALE.MARKER’S TALE workshop is designed to help aspiring young artists and designers to build a strong foundation in artistic and architectural production by developing their logic thinking, as well as their freehand rendering techniques and observation skills. The workshop addresses how to push young designers' geometrical perception to the limit, and how to activate their skills to generate various form-solutions which are this time, targeted to be aroused from a designer who is highly versed in hand drawing skills using pencils and water-based mediums. In This workshop structure, Essam embraces & follows Scott Robertson's high standard- techniques and instructions (The renowned master artist in Conceptual Art & Design Industries).
