I began my nonprofit leadership career after having worked as a product development executive at Hallmark Cards for 22 years. In 2015, I became CEO of Connecting For Good, and a Steering Council member of the Kansas City Coalition for Digital Inclusion (KCCDI). In 2020 I negotiated a merger with PCs for People, and worked as Executive Director until December, 2023. During that 8-year period, I developed skills in fixed wireless broadband installations, computer refurbishing, distribution, tech support and digital literacy training for low income residents throughout the greater Kansas City region. I'm passionate about partnerships and community connections, especially those I've made through the KCCDI and through the Historic West Bottoms Association. My wife, Mary, who is CEO of Operation Breakthrough in Kansas City, has also been a great partner in service to the KC community. Since 2016, I've served on the planning committee for the NDIA’s Net Inclusion national conferences, and as co-chair of the SHLB Anchors for Digital Equity policy committee.
