Throughout my career I've worked several different positions in the food service industry ranging from Warehouse Sanitation, Front Line Server, Lead Maintenance Technician, Concessions Manager, to Assistant Director of Concessions at San Jose State University. Each position taught me valuable skills that I have carried with me throughout my career, especially time management, critical thinking, and the importance of customer service. As a Lead Maintenance Tech, I ran a crew of 4 and was responsible for prepping the daily workload for my staff and deploying the proper techs needed for each job. Throughout my maintenance experience, I learned the valuable lesson that most things never go as planned, to expect the unexpected, and to try and plan for it as best you can. I carried that knowledge and experience into my new role as Concessions Manager. As Concessions Manager/Assistant Director of Concessions, I was in charge of 30+ employees, several food trucks across campus, as well as food & beverage sales for all major sporting and entertainment events being held on campus. With events happening daily, sometimes several at once, I learned to better manage my time and prepare for events much earlier than usual. In addition to time management, I gained a number of managerial skills and practices to better manage my staff and my responsibilities.Although I have worked solely in the food industry, I graduated with a Bachelor's in Marketing in 2019 from San Jose State and I am seeking to branch out to a Sales/Marketing position. I am no stranger to providing excellent customer service, whether it be to hungry customers or vendors we conduct business with, and I believe I can bring the same mindset, attitude, and skill set to your team.
