I was responsible for buying and negotiating sports, camping, furniture, stationery, and book products for 125 stores in Argentina, to domestic and international suppliers. I like to think that my role was as a data user, as I counted with all the most accurate and updated data to buy as efficiently and timely as possible. My biggest achievement was to use this data to buy on a store-2-store basis more than 1000 sku's according to the stock and sales projection of each store for back-to-school stationary items. Such precision in effectively estimating the correct number of items to purchase for each store helped reduce inventory levels significantly and reduced store-2-store transfer costs, saving over $1.5 million.I was also responsible for determining the price and profit margins of over 1000 SKUs and attended 5 international non-food supplier fairs in China, Germany, and USA.
