Being an international student in the United States for four years, it's safe to say I'm no stranger to change. I left the comfort of my home to pursue my goals of getting a better education and quality of life. Since, I've had to adapt to many changes and immerse myself into a different culture, and I'm happy to say I've thrived in the process. Since my freshman year in college I knew I wanted to be involved and be part of different groups on campus. I became the International Club Vice President during my second semester, I also joined the school's Theater program, the New Latino Generation Club, the Ag. Business Club and Enactus. Being part of different groups during my college experience helped me understand the value of team work and collaboration, time management and organization and it also helped me develop my leadership skills. As I start my second year as a working professional in the accounting field, I have the wonderful opportunity to move to a new country, The Netherlands. I am looking forward to, once again, leave my comfort zone behind, embark in a new adventure, and immerse myself into the Dutch culture . I am eager to continue learning and developing different skills in the work place, as well as growing in a personal level.
