Providing wellness resources and formalizing operational processes for the comfort of FS staff members

• Plan and manage program budget; track and approve invoice and expenses, and reports are submitted to Ministry accurately and on time• Oversee program operations, ensuring all programs and initiatives are running effectively and efficiently, meeting funder requirements and departmental needs• Coordinates program and course scheduling and teaching assignments as well as hiring all NFT teachers and Support staff, provide summary for SWF hours to Chair in an unionized environment• Organize and schedule meetings for program, operations, Support Staff, Coordinators and 1 – 1 meetings with staff and students• Represent and participate in monthly and quarterly meetings with our LBS partners (MTML; CSC; Ministry related events)• Manage, support student issues following College’s policies and practices, providing support to teachers and support staff where needed.

Supporting students during their learning journey and their transition to post-secondary education; to function effectively as learners and as individuals by helping them to identify, understand, prevent, and overcome personal, social, and educational challenges that may hinder their learning, or their ability to cope with everyday living.

•Provide individual counselling to the diverse student population of George Brown College. Counselling provided addresses many areas including managing symptoms of mental illness, stress management, academic strategies, relationship issues, social skills. •Provide appropriate referrals to local community services and follow up with students in a timely manner ensuring their needs were met.•Design, develop and facilitate workshops helping students work towards academic and personal matters.
