📌 I currently live in Mexico City where I studied journalism in the Carlos Septién García School of Journalism (2010–2014) and I have been working on the media for 10 years. My most recent bylines can be found at ConnectAmericas, a network platform created by the Inter-American Development Bank(IADB).✍️ I was part of the second generation of the certification in Gender and Communication imparted by UNAM-CIMAC and since then I do feminist and gender perspective journalism.✍️ My work has been published in outlets like SinEmbargo.mx, Vice en Español, Revista Cambio, Gatopardo, Yahoo! en Español, North American Congress in Latin America (NACLA) and Latin America News Dispatch (LAND), the latter two, published by NYU. The topics that I am passionate about from a gender perspective are culture (music and literature), the environment, labor and urbanism.📌 In 2019 I was part of the collective of women journalists that organized the first forum #MeTooPeriodistas: abriendo las puertas a otras generaciones (#MeTooJournalists: opening the door to the next generations) and I was invited as a speaker on the Forum Millennials y centennials contra la violencia hacia las mujeres (Millennials and centennials against the violence against women) in the eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, 2019, organized by The Spotlight Initiative in México, a joint campaign of the European Union and the United Nations.✍️ In addition to journalism and op-ed columns, I write literary essays. I have been published in several magazines on a variety of topics.✍️ Author of two chronicles on the 2017 earthquake in Mexico City along with other authors such as Elena Poniatowksa, Benito Taibo and Mónica Lavín for the book Estamos de pie: Historias de grandeza mexicana (Planeta, 2017).☕️ I am passionate to talk about feminism, feminism in journalism, gender economics but also discuss music and chick-flicks.
