Capitalising on my considerable expertise, I was able to advise managers, Directors and CEO on all employee relations matters, specialising in employee engagement, recruitment, retention and career development. During this time I developed a number of HR tools and managed a number of complex organisational HR matters including company restructure, industrial relations conflict, remuneration, and disciplinary and grievance cases. I also ensured all policies and procedures were legally compliant and fit for purpose.My notable achievements during this time included, increasing attendance at work as a result of the introduction of a sickness policy and return to work interviews that reduced sickness from 55% to 5% within 12 months. I also reduced temporary staffing spend by £40,000, increased attendance by 50% and performance by 60%. My role also required me to work closely with trade unions regarding structural, contractual, policy and people matters. Most notably I ensured the HR function delivered a professional and efficient service across the business which further facilitated the reduction in grievances and strengthened relationships between staff and management.
