I am thrilled to be assisting the Ontario Lottery Group temporarily with their FOI and Privacy Program. - Reviewing privacy and CASL related policies and processes- Providing strategic advice on program framework - Assisting business lines with the completion of their Privacy Impact Assessments and providing recommendations for mitigating risk.

Commissioner's Office Information and Privacy Commissioner Providing operational and strategic advice to Commissioner by coordinating the timely briefing for the Commissioner on a wide variety of topics;Providing clear direction based on the Commissioner's direction to the responsible staff;Developing and managing briefing packages on a wide variety of topics to be able to immediately respond to the Commissioner's needs;Keeping the executive team informed and up to date on relevant issues;Identify links between issues and ensuring that appropriate staff are kept informed;Reviewing all materials prepared for the Commissioner - speeches, presentations, briefing notes;Representing the Commissioner at meetings, committees and events.

Providing strategic leadership to strengthen privacy policies, procedures and guidance throughout OSS, leveraging corporate and other privacy best practices and initiatives;Implementing change management principles to ensure the safeguarding of personal information in our custody - consistently raising staff's awareness and changing perceptions about the importance of implementing privacy measures;Managing privacy implementation team and related resources;Providing a focal point for OSS privacy initiatives to help achieve and sustain a privacy compliant culture within OSS;Excellent working knowledge of Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act- FIPPA.

Customer Relationship BranchOntario Shared Services / OSS (SSB)**Recipient of 2004 MGS LEADERSHIP AWARDCritical and central role- managing relationships with customer/client ministries. Responsibilities included: client consultation; negotiation Service Level Agreements (SLAs); mediation; facilitation of problem resolution; information exchange; and development of strong inter-ministry communication;Responsible for establishing strong communication links and information sharing with provincial interministerial councils across Ontario;Wrote a number of award winning nominations for the MySSB and MyOPS portals;Led the successful SSB team at Showcase Ontario 2003 and 2004.

Critical coordinating role in the Assistant Deputy Minister's Office including liasing with senior divisional staff and the Associate Deputy Minister's Office- developed excellent political acuity and judgement;Planning, Organizing, Prioritizing and Following up on all issues coming to the ADM's Office;Providing senior strategic level advice to ADM and directors;Project managed a number of divisional initiatives successfully;Worked closely with MGS Human Resources and Labour Relations on a number of staffing related issues - some highly sensitive and contentious.

Ontario Accessibility Directorate Ministry of Citizenship Major Accomplishment: Represented Government of Ontario in a Canadian Standards Association technical committee to develop Customer Service Standards for People with Disabilities.Managing large scale, high profile partnership projects to raise societal and community awareness of important disability issues- including developing legal agreements, terms of reference, budgets and timelines. (Partners included Conference Board of Canada and Canadian Standards Association) Materials produced available upon request;Marketing several ministry programs to private and broader public sectors by making effective presentations;Facilitating the development of private sector partnership initiatives to improve accessibility for people with disabilities in Ontario;Fostering positive working relationships with key provincial disability organizations and other key stakeholders through advisory committee initiatives;Researching and writing briefing notes, issue notes and other key corporate communication vehicles.
