During the first 5 years, I weathered some of the worst conditions in the marine industry; the 2008 housing crisis that led to the recession & the BP Gulf oil spill. Ultimately these issues led to the location closure. Because of my great attitude, dedication & versatility, it was an easy choice to keep me on the team. The next 5 years I spent at the flagship location, where I grew & evolved as a professional participating in most roles throughout the dealership. Highlighting just a single success, which I have many, I single-handedly sold a $3m yacht by simply establishing a relationship & presenting what could be considered the best of the best by putting myself in a customer advocate facing role. These types of actions led me to my next major role, Business Manager of MarineMax Miami & Miami Beach. For the next five years, I helped develop these locations from one of the worst performing to now one of the top 5 locations in the country. Another win, because of my enormous success, I was selected as a prestigious member of the Marine Industry's 40 Under 40. Additionally, I was a regular contributor to the corporate marketing videos filmed for our internal and external customers. With my success in Miami and a COVID related change, I was transferred to Sarasota, all while still required to perform my job in the South Florida stores as well as begin my work at the Sarasota location. During this time the marine industry grew 35% increasing my workload with what felt like endless hours of finalizing transactions so people could get a release during the pandemic. All while maintaining excellent grades and coursework for my master's program. After deciding to leave the company I served for over a decade, I was still answering the phone to those that reached out for F&I help. This act was solely done out of my passion to be of service to others.While wrapping up my Masters Program, I continued treating my consulting services as nothing more than a hobby. I then joined one of my mentors at The Boat House where as their Business Analyst I reviewed and delivered financials. Identifying the value in my abilities of adding dollars to the bottom line, specifically to the F&I Team, I was appointed as the Director of Finance.Yet, the phone never stopped ringing from others in the boating world. It became evident my leadership skills have a tremendous influence over people who share the same common goals. EH2O allows me to showcase what I am most passionate about; helping others in the F&I Department reach their fullest potential.
