VVOB - education for development is an institutional actor that provides technical assistance to official actors in the education sector. VVOB supports local capacity development as a means to stimulate sustainable development in countries in Africa, South America and Asia.My current role entails: - Determining and implementing the objectives of VVOB's legal department; - Drafting, reviewing, amending and negotiating commercial contracts ( service agreements, partnership agreements, procurement and supplier contracts, ...) as well as grant and subgrant agreements. - Drafting, reviewing and negotiating country agreements and MoU's with Ministries' and other governmental actors of partnering countries; - Updating & preparing all corporate documentation and formalities; - Providing legal support to various departments; - Keeping up-to-date with new legislations in development cooperation, public procurement, intellectual property and employment legislations and guidelines; - Create & promote an effective and sustainable companywide data protection program; - Monitor GDPR compliance, review data processing agreements and advise all departments on data protection measures; - Collaboration with partnering lawyer offices & support in litigations/mediations
