I work for a large customer whose project consists of migrating its e-commerce platform to a new Cloud platform with microservices. • This has been developed in Java versions 8-11 with SpringBoot and Maven. Communication between them is through Kafka and APIs (RESTful, OpenApi, Swagger) with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito). We use code review, both for new developments and refactorings.• MongoDB and Oracle are used for data processing (Couchbase).• We do local testing on virtualized environments with Dockers. I also cover continuous integration (build and deployment process) in different pre-production environments using Jenkins, OpenShift (Red Hat), Kibana, IBM UrbanCode. • When QA team is overwhelmed I help coding automatic test cases with Cucumber and Karate Framework. • The project follows an Agile development with Scrum framework, using Jira for tasks planning, Confluence for documentation and Bitbucket as git repository.
