About Ester Cassano

I have obtained a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology of the Cell at the Statale University of Milan with a thesis project involving the interaction between the gut microbiota and the immune system in melanoma patients undergoing immune checkpoint inhibitors therapy. I attended my master internship at the research campus of the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan. It allowed me to work in an international team and to communicate with colleagues with different backgrounds. Through this working experience I understood that I want to keep studying and investigating the world of translational research, with a major interest in biomarkers research, developing better therapeutics for patients.
