FINABEL is a European military organization, chaired by the Chiefs of Staff of 24 Member States. It acts as a think tank body dedicated to promoting analysis of army-related topics. The main task was to generate research material independently and in a team, under tight deadlines. I have chosen to focus my research on the following topics: • the interoperability of the military and civilian drone systems within the framework of the European Defence Strategy (independent research)• the geopolitical and security issues of the Black Sea region (teamwork)To guarantee the complexity and completeness of these pieces, I have engaged with key stakeholders and carried out interviews with military personnel and experts.I have also participated at the European and Security Conference in Egmont Palace, Bruxelles, on behalf of FINABEL. The panel discussions covered two main topics: key technology for space and defence in the European Union and the newly born project of the European Strategic Compass. The event has also provided a precious opportunity to engage with new potential stakeholders of FINABEL.
