Behavioral neuropharmacologist with background in neurophysiological systems underlying pain, addiction and cognitive function (specifically, receptor and neurotransmitter systems and their roles in pain, analgesia, and addiction during development and maturity), as well as evolutionary principles and animal behavior. Extensive experience in in vivo measures of anatomical and pharmacological manipulations, expertise in behavioral measures of pain, analgesia, and addiction, supplemented with skills in neuroanatomical, cellular, and molecular measures of pharmacological activity.
