• I interned in a public health non-profit organization that provides healthcare underserved populations throughout the country. I interned in the Community Health Corps sector of the association, which recruits volunteers to assist in the operation of community health centers across the country. Some of my duties included researching, which major companies perform philanthropic work on the community level in order to see if they could potentially be grantors to NACHC. I also researched to find methods of recruitment for volunteers and members of the Community Health Corps, who are looking to further their careers in healthcare. Also, I gained some experience analyzing A133 audit reports for non-profits.

• I worked with Adults (4hrs/week) in areas such as English, Mathematics, and Social Studies in order for them to officially get their high school diploma. It helped me develop my social skills and also gave me the opportunity further bridge the gap between students and people outside of University of Virginia’s academic community.
