· Co-plan with general education teachers to ensure classroom lessons and assignments are accessible for all students· Provide reteach opportunities for students who need a second layer of support· Administer and analyze diagnostic assessments in order to implement intensive pre-requisite skills interventions for students who need intensive support· Conduct IEP meetings · coordinate with related services personnel to ensure all information is gathered in a timely manner · develop IEP goals and objectives, accommodations, and service delivery based on student need· Ensure Special Education compliance with IEP timelines· Coordinate with the Response to Intervention team to implement and/or monitor the progress of intervention plans for at-risk students · Served as Special Education representative on campus Building Leadership Team · assist with the development of school-wide training of C3 Planning Model – Coplan, Coserve, Colearn · address building-level concerns with ideas/solutions and monitor implementation/results

· Evaluate referred students for possible educational disabilities - e.g., learning disabilities, autism, educational impact of health and orthopedic impairments, and intellectual disabilities· Work as Lead Evaluator for dyslexia evaluations· Mentor incoming and first-year diagnosticians – organization, testing processes/procedures, interpreting data, developing evaluation reports, conducting ARD/IEP meetings, etc. · Conduct ARD/IEP meetings · explain evaluation results to parents and campus to further understanding of student needs · develop ARD/IEP goals and objectives and accommodations based on student need· Assist campuses in Special Education compliance· Assist campuses in understanding the Response to Intervention process and its connection to Special Education

· Assess referred students for possible identification of dyslexia· Attend 504/ARD meetings to explain assessment findings · explain dyslexia characteristics to parents and campus to further understanding of student needs · assist in developing 504 IAP and ARD/IEP accommodations based on student needs· Develop system for equitable distribution of dyslexia cases across entire district· Develop protocol for the identification of dysgraphia· Create and present district-wide professional development: · characteristics of dyslexia · instructional techniques and accommodations in the classroom· Develop 1st grade instructional program to serve as classroom intervention until students begin the district-wide program · Collaborate with diagnosticians and LSSPs to determine dyslexia identification within SLD identification· Conduct dyslexia therapy classes with students identified with dyslexia (2011-2014)
