I am currently a 3rd year student at University of Florida, College of Pharmacy, Jacksonville, FL campus. I work part time as a pharmacy intern at UF Health Jacksonville, providing inpatient counseling for discharge medications, interviewing patients for medication reconciliation, and conducting anticoagulant counseling. I worked 2 years of pharmacy technician experience at Walgreens Pharmacy before starting pharmacy school. I am serving as Regent for the Kappa Psi Zeta Gamma Chapter and as Secretary for Kappa Psi Southeast Province. As Regent, not only do I look after the overall health of the chapter but I support my team to ensure their goals and plans for each semester are completed in areas such as philanthropy, leadership development, and other committees. In addition, I am also the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation and Operation Infectious Disease Chair for the Jacksonville campus. I am currently interested in oncology or critical care pharmacy and I am looking to apply to a PGY1 program in my 4th year. I am grateful for the opportunity and experience I have as an intern at UF Health and the patient interactions I get daily. Not only do I get to practice the skills I learn in class, but I develop my own patient care style and optimize my skills for each patient's needs daily. I am very grateful I can be a part of the interdisciplinary teamwork at UF Health to provide optimal patient care. I served in the US Navy as FTS from 2012-2018 and Reserve from 2018-2022, as an administrative/pay/travel supervisor in 3 squadrons. As a reservist, I also worked at NOSC Jacksonville as a Navy Reserve Order Writing System (NROWS) and Defense Travel System (DTS) expert. I provided NROWS and DTS support to over 2,000 Reservist going on Active Duty.When I am not at school or work, I will be baking at home or picking up a project such as crochet, knitting, or sewing for myself and friends. I am very active in my fraternity so we will often have lots of socials together or events on weekends. I love to travel so I hope to one day after graduation, I can go back to Europe and Asia to experience its rich culture and history, and make it an annual trip.
