From the bacterial colonization of the infant’s gut (born at term and preterm) which actually begins during pregnancy to the bacterial composition of human milk (from healthy women and women suffering mastitis) which was considered sterile. At present leading a team that works on the dogma of treating dysbiosis located in distant mucosas (not only gut mucosa) innovating with newly developed oral probiotic strains. From the isolation of potential probiotic strains and pre-clinical assays to Clinical Trials (GCP) with targeted population demonstrating safety and/or efficacy for Food and Pharmaceutical companies.
