Hello! My name is Esther Loo, and I am a Game Design and Development student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I love studying how art, sound, design, and software engineering can amalgamate into this creation we call video games! Specifically, I like working with UI/UX design, systems design, and software engineering of game development.I chose to make games because I used to play Animal Crossing: New Leaf too often as a kid, but playing that game was what I looked forward to the most every day. That feeling is what inspired me to create games of my own that had the same effect on others. Once I took computer science classes in high school and experienced how coding can be motivationally challenging, I knew game development was the right path for me.Since then, I've come to university and learned so much more about game development, developed numerous new skills, and discovered new tools to help my journey. Now, I have experience working with these programming languages: C#, C++, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. I also have experience working with these tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Monogame, Unity, Unreal Engine, Figma, AxureRP, Photoshop, and Maya.
