I enjoy learning skills from a vast array of work. My current focus is learning about Colorado's environment and resource management. After two years living and teaching English in Spain, reconnecting and contributing to my local community and environment is a huge motivation.Highlights of my working experiences include:Two years in Spain where I became fluent in Spanish, taught students aged 5-18, and traveled extensively (acting as travel guide for over ten friends and family members). A summer immersed in art, literature, and over-caffeination for the non-profit Wolverine Farm Publick House. As a barista I learned about the service industry. As an intern I learned about the management and support of artists throughout their creative processes, ending with "completed" and sometimes published pieces. An internship for Water Education Colorado where I managed social media by designing posts for events, fundraising, information, and education. I was able to conduct interviews with intriguing water professionals and learned how to manage and fulfill orders for published educational materials. All throughout High School and my first two years at college I lifeguarded for the City of Fort Collins (promoted to Head Lifeguard) and the University of Denver (also worked in gym, checking in members and inputting reservations). I liked the work because the focus is making exercise spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for all kinds of visitors. Over the years, teaching fun and useful things to children in formal educational settings and through sports has been a joy. Such kid-oriented work includes:NALCAP program: teaching English in Spain in Primary and High SchoolsCollege years: Running soccer recruitment/ID camps, volunteer events, babysittingSummer Program 2018: Child Care Worker for the Poudre School District's Early Childhood Education Summer Program. Participants were 4-5 years old with a spectrum of behavioral tendencies. GECCCOS Girl Scout Camp: Counselor and Instructor of water safety and boating techniques.Soccer Referee: Completed the certification course and refereed Pee Wee-U10 games.Soccer and Volleyball Coach: Coached preschoolers and elementary school students soccer, and coached middle school Volleyball for Ridgeview Classical Schools.
