•Liaising with the business unit department heads on their procurement requests and requirements, ensuring quick and efficient turn around having 90% of all LPOs issued out less in 3 days.• Coordinating with finance department on preparation of budgets, letters of credit and supplier payments and following up on the same.• Negotiating for favorable contract terms from selected and evaluated vendors having 90% of all suppliers on credit terms (30-90 days).• Analyzing data (current price trends) in the market and timely advising the business for budgeting purposes, future forecasting and on areas of process improvement.• Analyzing and rationalizing packaging and raw materials stocks to determine re-order levels using the sage MRP system and having 80% of all materials deliveries done at the right time and in full.• Facilitating supplier identification and selection following laid down procedures and policies leveraging on strong, strategic, and proactive relationships with reliable suppliers.• Driving procurement and supply chain objectives through floating of tenders and effectively carrying out the tender process through procurement best practices to achieve the best value in procurement of services, raw materials, and packaging items recording a savings of 30mio.• Driving innovation projects through close collaboration with the research and development team to identify areas of savings, cost reduction and sustainability realizing savings worth Ksh.300,000 YTD• Conducting supplier performance appraisal every quarter in a bid to reduce costs and increase process efficiency.• Risk assessment in supply chain for raw materials and advising the business on the same and proper mitigation measures, these reduced cases of material unavailability ensuring goods are then availed on time.• Monthly and bi-yearly reporting on savings and current purchasing trends and risks in the market and advising the business accordingly to aid in proper planning.
