As a scholar ambassador, I work with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to highlight the importance of higher education to high school students and help them prepare for college.

As a summer associate, I participate in activities and programs designed to develop and better leadership skills. As an exercise of teamwork and scholarship, I conduct research to present professionally in writing as well as develop personalized solutions with a team to pitch to non-profit organizations.

As a programming chair, I collaborated with other chair members to organize events for residents the council served. In conjunction to listening to what the community wanted, I executed events centered around holidays, mental health, etc. with the objective of creating a home away from home for students. I researched materials and spaces to hold events and worked with others to propose budgets to other members of the council.

During my time with the program, I interacted with high school students and emphasized the importance of a college education. I served as a resident advisor ensuring that students were in a safe environment in the dormitory and on field trips as well as a chemistry and math tutor.

As a research assistant, I collected and analyzed biological data about relationships between cells and their enzyme activity. I was able to become familiar with proper techniques to harvest cells and the appropriate tools to collect particular data.
