I have held positions from engineer to chief technical officer of engineering and operations. These positions held at corporations to include General Motors, Digital Equipment Corporation (final merger Hewlett Packard-HP), AT&T, 3COM, Genuity (merged with Level 3 Communications), and TPG Inc. In these positions I have managed a diversity of departments, functions, and personnel. Both managing profit and cost centers. My personnel responsibilities included direct management of 15 managers with 70 employees with supervisor direct reports and a budget of 50 million dollars.In the recruitment and retention of minorities in the engineering, technology, science and mathematics fields I have worked with Harvard University (Dr. Allen Counter), University of Massachusetts, Northeastern University, Lincoln University –PA, Saint Francis College –VA., and Middlesex Community College. This work was under the sponsorship of NAMEPA, NAACP –Black Executive Exchange Program, Roxbury Technology Council, and the US Department of Labor –Women’s Bureau.
