As a senior consultant, I advise and support corporates and financial institutions in developing and implementing sustainability strategies that are in line with the Paris Agreement. In doing so, my work ranges from GHG accounting, setting science-based emission reduction targets, developing future-proof emission reduction roadmaps as well as ESG reporting that fulfills internationally recognized standards. As part of the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) Secretariat, I assist a variety of financial institutions in the application and further development of the PCAF standard.

• Work with 20+ financial institutions from Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Liechtenstein to implement first globally harmonized standard on measuring and reporting financed emissions• Organize and hold technical workshops on the PCAF methods• Initialize partnerships with key associations within the region• Provide participating financial institutions technical expertise on greenhouse gas accounting• Manage public consultation of the second edition of the global PCAF Standard on new GHG accounting methods for green bonds, sovereign bonds, and emissions removals, as well as a discussion paper on capital market instruments

During my internship at the department of Market Entry and Business Development my major task was to mediate business partnerships between German and Finnish firms via mailings, telephone and in-person. Given my advanced communication skills, I was able to create a valuable atmosphere and finally succeeded to contribute to the creation of five new business partnerships. Furthermore, I assisted in the organization and hosting of a delegation trip and an international conference for German and Finnish businessmen. Over the course of the internship I improved not only my communication skills but also my organizational skills since I assisted in many projects at the same time. This was very challenging in the beginning but after a few weeks I learnt how to cope with it.

During my internship at the department for Public Relations I assisted in the preparations for the Kindernothilfe Media Award. This not only included the writing of invitation cards but also the search for prominent orators for the event. Apart from that, I helped with the implementation of a broad web page relaunch for the organization and monitored potential competitors by analyzing their print media appearance. For me it was a very interesting internship since it widened my horizon in terms of doing task that were not directly related to my studies.
