An experienced senior level hotel sales role that reports directly to the Director of Sales. Responsibilities include managing and leading the sales staff as well as managing select key accounts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the mentoring and training sales staff, recruitment and hiring of sales staff, leading sales meetings, working with catering and convention services, involvement with the annual business plan process, forecasting, owners meetings, systems training, report analysis, P&L management, business travel and tradeshows, customer entertainment, community involvement and networking. Responsible for the implementation of a successful solicitation strategy to New York, Midwest and Florida market segments in order to meet and/or exceed revenue goals. Participate in RevMax reviews, sales strategy meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required. Provide a high level of exposure of the hotel in specific markets: New York, Midwest, Florida  Achieve a strong pace and meet and exceed individual assigned revenue goals Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat group business Develop and enhance a continued relationship with key corporate accounts Conduct sales calls locally and into geographical market using all resources provided by company Develop/Create exciting and memorable site inspections to accompany creative proposals Solicit Group and Business Transient directly and jointly with others through the preparation, execution, and completion of action plans Prepare, construct, present creative customer proposals and negotiate contracts Upon closing, coordinate and follow up with the other departments to ensure delivery of superior guest service Provide departmental colleagues with proper communication that will enhance our ability to deliver exceptional service Conduct outside sales calls to deliver new business and maintain existing business relationships
