In this role, I lead the strategic development of the Cures program including screening, disease modifying and cell replacement therapies for type 1 diabetes. Our main focus is the translation of scientific discoveries into novel therapies for improving glucose and overall metabolic control, which will contribute to better treatments and a cure for T1DResponsibilities: Collaborate cross-functionally among key stakeholders like industry partnership, clinical trial management, research and patient advocacy. Create and lead unique opportunities to accelerate research pipeline and therapeutic development

- Leader preclinical development of antibody-based therapies in the metabolic and muscle wasting diseases area (anti-myostatin REGN1033, anti-activin and other biotherapeutic interventions)- Lead discovery and scientific assessment of novel therapeutic targets to restore metabolic control in diabetes - Therapeutic strategies to increase beta cell function - Prevent/treat the loss of skeletal muscle function to increase muscle function and insulin sensitivity.
