I am currently a Nursing Professor at George Brown College, where I have the incredible opportunity to impart knowledge and guide the next generation of healthcare professionals. My journey in healthcare began as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in 2012. Inspired by the impact I could make, I pursued my Bachelor of Science in Nursing through the collaborative program offered by Toronto Metropolitan University-TMU (formerly known as Ryerson University), Centennial, and George Brown. As a Registered Nurse, I attained valuable experience in the Rehabilitation Complex Care unit and the Spine/Neurosurgery unit. This gave me a deep understanding of complex medical conditions and surgical procedures, and it enabled me to provide optimal care to my patients.Moreover, my desire for learning led me to obtain a Masters' degree in Nursing at TMU, where I acquired advanced skills and knowledge in the field. Additionally, I am currently enrolled in the PhD in Urban Health at TMU, with the committment to make a broader impact beyond the hospital walls.When I am not in the hospital or the classroom, you'll find me spending time with family and friends, exploring new research avenues, connecting with fellow healthcare professionals, and engaging in meaningful conversations about holistic healthcare advancements and client-centered care. *Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in my posts are my own and do not reflect the views of my employer.*
