DVassist is a NFP providing support to victim-survivors of family and domestic violence in regional, rural and remote WA via a free telephone and web-chat, and online information hub and directory. I was engaged as DVassist’s inaugural Chief Executive Officer to start-up the organisation and lead the delivery of the pilot project and grant. Now with ten staff, a Board of six and full P&L accountability, my responsibilities included:- Managing the organisation’s core functions across administration, finance, human resources, clinical, governance and IT/telephony - Building the organisation’s profile in regional WA via marketing, PR and community engagement- Securing sustainable funding across the government, corporate, philanthropic and foundation sectors- In consultation with the Board, development and implementation of strategic and business plans - Ensuring that DVassist’s services are culturally relevant for First-Nations people- Building strong external relationships with consultants, State and Federal politicians, government and corporate stakeholders, and community organisations and NFPs to increase DVassist’s profile- Managing the requirements of the Commonwealth Grant through activity planning and regular reporting- Maintaining clinical standards, proactive management of relevant clinical risks and continuous improvement of services - Governance responsibility including the development and management of all policies and procedures, preparation of board papers and board packs, overseeing the annual audit and preparation of annual report - Project management of a range of complex programs associated with the grant - Acting as DVassist’s media spokesperson

In my role as a Unit Coordinator I lead a team of eLearning Advisors to successfully deliver a range of masters and bachelor level units in management and leadership. As an eLearning Advisor, I directly facilitated the delivery of these courses to students in the online environment.
