Esthevan is originally from Brazil, where he grew up and persued undergraduate studies in Forest Engineering. During college, Esthevan conducted scientific research focused in Biometry, Forest Inventory, Forest Planning and persued internships.After his undergraduation, Esthevan began his master in Forest Resources and Management at University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP) and worked on Remote Sensing and Geostatistics applied to Forest Inventory, in some of International Paper Company plantations. His experience includes extensively working in Brazil and Canada. He participated of the Emerging Leader in the Americas Program (ELAP) program as a visiting researcher at UBC, where his task involved estimation of forest parameters by the integration of multispectral images and multivariable geostatistics.Esthevan and a group earned Santander and FAPESP grant assistence to found Treevia Forest Technologies, in Brazil.
