Planned, organized, and executed programming with my team for over 200 high-achieving high school seniors interested in STEM topics from underrepresented backgrounds. Managed a team of 5 staff members who were each responsible for working with ~15 students. Throughout the program we provided academic courses for our students (e.g. calculus, robotics, and geospatial mapping) and enrichment curriculum (college essay clinics, seminars on effective communication, mock interviews).

My job puts me on the front line of technology and cross disciplinary research. As a lab tech I get to work with all of the tools in the lab including our motion capture system, the various VR and AR headsets, our photogrammetry equipment, the numerous 3D printers, and the underlying software that makes it all work! I've gotten to help print molds for biomimetic robots, help students get a first hand look at molecules through our VR headsets, and create 3D models of dinosaur bones for academics to use around the world.

I was the sole software researcher working on new data mining techniques for an economics paper requiring large ammounts of publication data. I primarily worked in Java but I did employ a number of packages that interfaced with HTML. Ultimately I developed a system that has the potential to legally scrape significant data sets even from sites that employ defences to prevent such attempts.

I was responsible for taking care of a group of rising high school seniors while they were on MIT campus for the MOSTEC (MIT Online Science Technology and Engineering Community) 2017 Conference. I was a participant in this program when I was in high school and felt like giving back by working with the program.

Tae Kwon Do is one of my great passions and being able to share it with students is one of my greatest pleasures in life. Over the course of 7 years I had the opportunity to teach students from the ages of 4 to 60 at every ability level. This job was fundamental in my development as a leader and a person.
